What I do like is (somewhat) healthy food, quickly made so I can get on with my day.
I, like you and many others, have children that like to decide what they want to eat. Even if it's not what you are serving! Have you heard yourself say, "This is not a restaurant"! Well McDonald's is.
I have your busy morning breakfast solution right here!! Stop asking them what they want when you are in a rush in the morning. Go to McDonald's and order them each a Sausage Egg and Cheese McGriddle with an orange juice. Skip those greasy hash browns. This is a perfect breakfast for the situation. The healthiest? No. But, lemme 'splain.
Do you want pancakes with syrup? Got it.
Do you want eggs? Got it. And they are scrambled and not all runny and weird. They are just eggs.
Do you want a piece of cheese? It's in there. Just plain american cheese.
How about some sausage? Yup. And, why sausage you ask and not bacon? Many times the bacon can be stringy and rubbery. Major choking hazard. The sausage is easy to cut in to small peices, like the rest of the sandwich.
For my younger one, I cut up most of the sandwich into different "piles" and hand him a fork. He can pick and choose what he wants to eat, like a big boy. And the older one gets the sandwich whole and I ask him how he wants it. Sometimes cut in half, and he eats it like a sandwich. Other times he takes out one of the ingredients. Or he breaks it all apart and has a pancake breakfast with a side order of sausage and eggs. Viola!!! Everyone is happy.
And orange juice to drink. Don't forget my cool straw trick. And there's a quick, somewhat healthy breakfast. You might even be able to enjoy your coffee while they eat!
Thanks McDonald's. I am lovin' it. Too bad we don't ever see you at lunchtime. Hello Chipotle!

Crayola is the best crayon made. Any other brand that I have seen is waxy and doesn't have good color transfer to the paper. If you go to a restaurant and they give out free Crayola crayons at the table, keep 'em. Have your wife hold them in her pocketbook or put them in your diaper bag for next time.
Secondly, if you are going to buy crayons, don't buy those big crazy round ones, they are too big. And, the regular ones are too thin and break. These triangular Crayola crayons are perfect!! They are strong and don't break as easily. They don't roll away! And, they promote the proper grip!!
